OUR MISSION

HCS’ mission is to facilitate a program paired with traditional holistic medical rehabilitation using research-backed combat sports and mentoring to compliment recovery from physical and mental injuries sustained by Veterans and First Responders during their period of service to their country and community.

OUR VISION

SPORTS THERAPY

Research shows that combat sports such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be very effective for recovery and management of mental health injuries when paired with modern medicine. HCS exists as a mechanism for Veterans and First Responders to access this sports therapy and the second and third order effects the therapy has on their wellbeing, without the associated costs. Involvement in the program seeks to assist sponsored members with reintegration, networking, confidence, strength and fitness, resilience, and most importantly, recovery and management.
